The Alumni National Day of Service was an opportunity to unite La Salle grads through community service. With over 6,000 alumni living in nearly every state, the potential to have a positive and meaningful impact in the community was enormous.

On or around January 16th (MLK Day), Alumni were encouraged to:
Volunteer! Projects were organized in Long Beach and San Francisco
Get involved in a service project in their own community
Share their volunteer experience and pictures with the La Salle community

On Saturday, January 14th alumni assisted the Long Beach Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation with their monthly beach cleanup at Junipero Beach.

Lisa Wickhem '07 organized a service project for alumni in the Bay Area to participate in that involved purchasing and distributing blankets and socks to the homeless in the area and putting together lunch bags for them as well.  Thanks to the alumni who participated in person and also as donors for the GoFundMe drive to purchase the cold weather supplies.
