Alumni Association Lasallian Heritage Scholarship
Congratulations to Lauren Calvario '21 who was chosen by the Alumni Association Executive Board out of a pool of 43 applicants for the Lasallian Heritage Scholarship.
The La Salle High School Alumni Association hosts the “Taste of La Salle” every other year to benefit the Alumni Scholarship Fund. This food and beverage tasting event has been a huge success allowing the Alumni Association to award a scholarship to an incoming freshman in addition to two scholarships to graduating seniors to use toward their college education.
The Lasallian Heritage Scholarship focuses on recognizing individual students who embody the tenants of faith, service and community- pillars of our Lasallian tradition. It is a $4,000 scholarship applied over four years to the Student’s tuition ($1,000 a year). All prospective freshmen applicants are eligible to apply each year. The recipient must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the School for the scholarship to be renewed each school year. Recipients of the Lasallian Heritage Scholarship will be given the opportunity to work with the Alumni Office and the Alumni Board during their time at La Salle. This may include assisting with and attending alumni events and serving as an Ambassador of the Alumni Association for the student body. Exact responsibilities will be mutually agreed upon based on the student’s schedule and availability.
Applicants are evaluated based on the following criteria: leadership/involvement within their community, service and citizenship. In order to preserve anonymity and provide equal consideration for all applicants, all identifying information on the application is omitted prior to review by the Alumni Board. The official award will be presented at Lauren's 8th Grade Awards Ceremony.
