As a graduate of La Salle High School, all alumni are automatically members of the Alumni Association. ALUMNI ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE BOARD
Mike Sullivan '70- Mike's favorite memory as a student was the mud pit during freshman orientation. His favorite alumni events to attend are his class reunions which gives him a chance to get together with classmates and reminisce. He sees serving on the Alumni Board as a way for him to give back to his Alma Mater. Mike is a Realtor Associate specializing in residential and commercial sales with Anthony Venti Realtors, Inc.
Paul Lees '75- Paul believes in the tradition of giving back and serving his community. He is involedwith several service groups and is excited to give some of his time and talent back to his Alma Mater. Paul's favorite alumni events are anytime his '75 classmates get together whether it be at a Reunion, Taste of La Salle or just a weekend BBQ. As a student his most vivid memory is performing in the production of West Side Story with 8 stitches in his knee. Paul works in consumer product goods as a Space Management Specialist for Advantage Sales and Marketing.
Tony Messineo '80- Tony can summarize his favorite memory from La Salle in two words "Mud Pit!" He can't pick a favorite alumni event because they have all been great. Now that his daughters are older Tony had some time and wanted to give back to La Salle. Plus, he wants to make sure the Decade of the '80s is represented! Tony works for Advantage Sales and Marketing and David N. Schultz Inc.
Rafael Mirasol '80- Looking back at his years at La Salle, Rafael says that the Mud Pit is his favorite memory and he is proud that his class was one of the last to participate in this long-gone rite of passage. The Decade of the '80s Reunions have been his favorite alumni events because he gets the chance to reunite with his own classmates as well as the friends he had in other classes. As a parent of two current students, Rafael wanted to join the Board to reach out to alums who haven't been back to campus in a while to reconnect them with the community. He knows that alums will find that today's La Salle beams and thrives with the pride and excellence of the past but with a renewed vigor and energy that puts us on the map. Rafael works in pharmaceutical sales for Purdue Pharma LLP.
Joe Alvarez '83- Joe says he has too many favorite memories to count from La Salle but some that stand out are the ones surrounding his four years in the basketball program and the good friends he made on the teams. Being able to reminisce with classmates. teachers and Brothers at the Decade of the '80s Reunion every five years is his favorite alumni event. Joe always felt a connection with La Salle after graduating and with his daughter now attending La Salle (Class of 2020), he felt it was the perfect time to get more involved and give back. Joe is the owner of an event photography and videography production company.
Chris Rettig '84- It's tough for Chris to pick a single favorite memory from his time at La Salle but he feels extremely fortunate for the friendships he made over those four years that he still has to this day. His favorite alumni events are the ones that give him the opportunity to reconnect with fellow Lancers, especially those from the early '80s. He always wanted to get back involved and when his son chose to attend La Salle there was no better time to make that commitment. Chris feels it is important to serve in a way that will have a positive impact on past, current and future Lancers. Chris is an independent sales executive currently focused in wholesale and liquidation services.
Jesse Toribio '93- Jesse's most memorable time from La Salle is the four years he spent on the varsity baseball team and being inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame. His favorite alumni event to come back to is Homecoming to see old friends and stay up to date on Lancer Athletics. Jesse became a member of the Alumni Board to continue his lifelong relationship with La Salle and enhance the experiences of future Lasallians. Jesse retired from the police department after 14 years of service and currently works as a criminal justice teacher at Pasadena High School in the law and public service pathway.
Armando Ramirez '93- Armando loved being a part of the Class of 1993 and the great times he and his classmates had in the Senior Lounge. His favorite alumni events hands down are Taste of La Salle and the Decade of the '90s Reunion. Armando loves La Salle and appreciates what the School did for him, his daughters Yahaira "15 and Vanessa '20. That and his desire to grow the Taste of La Salle event every other year led him to serving on the Board. Armando is the owner of El Portal Restaurant, Yahaira's Cafe and Vanessa's Coffee- all of which are in Pasadena.
Tina Bonacci '94- Tina is proud to be a founding member of Lancer Television and to know that it is still a strong program, and part of the teaching curriculum in the Digital Media department, is very exciting for her. As a proud alum and former faculty member, Tina is interested in continuing her support of her Alma Mater to offer an even better experience to current students. Her favorite alumni event to date was the Decade of the '90s Reunion. Tina is a College Counselor at La Salle.
Joe Reid '00- Joe has too many great high school memories to narrow it down to one! The sense of community he felt at La Salle will forever encompasses all of his memories. He says the long-lasting friendships he forged through those four years are priceless. Joe thoroughly enjoys coming back for Homecoming and joined the Board to reconnect with the La Salle community and give back in a meaningful way. He currently serves as the Director of Business Development and Client Relations for Pacific Asset Management.
Robin Quintanilla '03- Robin's favorite memory from high school is when Mr. John Matheus played Dance Dance Revolution in the Campus Ministry Room. Of course, she also cherishes meeting all of her friends whom she is still close with today. As an alum her favorite event is La Salle's Adopt-A-Family program and the Alumni Wrapping Party & Santa Visit in December. She loves seeing familiar faces and working together to bring some Christmas cheer to those in need. Robin loved her experience at La Salle and wanted to give something back and help the next generation of Lancers. Robin works for Illium Associates Inc., as a Marketing Representative for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
Chanel Buccola '07- A few of Chanel's favorite memories from La Salle include winning the CIF Championship in Softball her junior year, participating as a Water Girl for Football and traveling with the team and six of her closest friends and staying up late with the Student Life team the night before Founder’s Day to prepare for their final rally as seniors. Chanel loves coming back for Reunions and attending the Taste of La Salle and she wanted to join the Board to relive some of her fondest memories and exciting times she had as a student. She says that La Salle has always been her home and she wants to be more connected to the School as it adapts and grows. Chanel works in administration for the USC Athletics Department.
Phil Velasco '07- Phil's time spent working on the play productions at La Salle with his friends is what he remembers best from his high school days. His favorite alumni event is Homecoming when everyone gathers back at La Salle for a fun evening. He wanted to be a part of the Alumni Board because he wanted to be even more involved with La Salle and also help get his classmates more engaged with their Alma Mater. Phil is the Technical Director at Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena.
Tyler Varing '09- Tyler will always remember his sophomore English class with Ms. Johnston and loved coming back for his Five Year Reunion! He wanted to join the Board to become more involved with his Alma Mater and to help the School advance its mission. Tyler is a Sales Representative for Integrated Business Solutions.
